This is our hard working group this month. God knows what is needed and sends the people to complete the jobs.
This is what we work for. Hundreds of kids to have the opportunity to go camping and learn about Jesus on the way.
Remember the renovation on the feed shed. Here we are nearly done...
...here we have finished roofing and given it a good coat of paint.
The fence around the goat enclosure was beginning to sag and a couple of the goats would hop back and forth between pens.
After setting new poles and stringing new wire...
Then coating it with a nice coat of paint, it is complete and one of the two goats who used to hop from pen to pen is visible stanbding on the rock BEHIND the new fence. They have not left their enclosure for a week!
The ladies have been busy as well. These bathroom walls were a faded pink. Now they are tulip leaf and although there are no frames around the windows, a little masking tape and dark paint and unless you are up close and personal you can't tell that they don't have frames.
Each month the maintenance manager's wife invites the ladies to tea. They do need a bit of pampering.
The Rabbit Taj Mahal is nearing completion. A little spray on the top...
...and a bit of tulip leaf on the bottom and then add the sunscreen to the top....
...and now it is ready for occupancy.
One of the highlights of the project was to strip and repaint the entrance sign.
On our next to last weekend here, Cassie's parents came to San Diego and we were able to meet them as well as Matt and Cassie at the beach.
On a walk down the beach we stopped at a pier to get a better view of the ocean...
...and snap a few pictures.
On the final Tuesday evening of the project the whole crew went to the Jamul Bakery and Resturant for an evening out together.
At break time on the last day of the project the staff serves Sowers a brunch. Anyone who eats a breakfast that day misses out on a great brunch.
