Get into the first work week!

We are here to do a job and boy did we jump right into it this week.  Next weekend is a special donor banquet, sooooo, there are a number of last minute things to get done.  But first, there are a flock of hummingbirds here so we put up our feeder.  And to make it more attractive for them we built them a tree (since those are really scarce here).
As one can plainly see we created a Kansas "Fern" tree for our birds.  Isn't it a lovely specimen?

The hummingbirds took to it here just as they would have in Kansas.

Ah, yes, it is back to work.  The cafeteria needed more storage in the men's room and there happened to be a box sitting there on the floor with a cabinet in it.  So I put it together.  But it had no means to lock it, but after just a little thought, wal-la, it was lockable.

Then this sink was leaking and the faucet didn't work.  Now the sink doesn't leak and the faucet works like a new one.  Oh, yes.  They are (new that is).

Gotta take a little time to finish the tailgate in our getaround machine.  We visited two Lowes, one Home Depot, and two Walmarts but could not find a simple draw latch.  Then we happened to stop in the mom and pop hardware store just up the road in Desert Hot Springs to get a couple of plumbing parts and there on the wall was a package of, you guessed, draw latches.  Go figger.

After a little touch up with the Dremel it is done.

Of course there is always data entry to be done.

Fortunately, Billie has someone to work with to keep her company.

Meanwhile, some of us are trying to put this 50 feet of fence back in order.  It was a couple of great days and the Lord was here all the time.

  1. Looks like the shoulder is getting back into the swing of things!

Maybe you've got no trees, but the good news ... is you've got no SNOW!

    You both take care!
